Kentucky crash kills one

For drivers in Kentucky, there is always a risk of serious injury, as is the case for road-users anywhere in the United States. One mistake, either of your own or made by someone else, can have devastating consequences for all involved. A single crash could turn your life upside-down and can often leave individuals facing lengthy recoveries or even bereavement.

One such truck accident occurred in Johnson County, Kentucky one Thursday morning. A 34-year-old truck driver lost his life in a two-vehicle accident after a car crashed into his truck. It is alleged that the collision occurred after the car crossed the median. The impact was enough to knock the truck down an embankment, with fatal consequences.

The car driver was taken to a hospital, but survived the accident. No one else is believed to have been involved. While it has been established that the driver of the truck had not been wearing his seatbelt, an investigation into the crash is ongoing. Reconstruction crews from Kentucky State Police attended the scene.

Accidents like this one are upsetting for all concerned and often they could and should have been avoided. Unfortunately, all too many people fail to be considerate on the roads, putting themselves and everyone around them in danger.

If you have been injured in a truck accident or you have a lost a loved one in this manner, you might benefit from the guidance of an attorney. He or she can evaluate the details of the accident and may be able to advise you on whether you might want to make a compensation claim.
