Driver killed in multivehicle crash

Driving in the early hours of the morning can be a peaceful experience. Often the roads are a bit quieter and there may even be stars in the sky. However, it is also important to be wary when traveling the roads of Kentucky at these times. Though there may not be many others on the road, those that you encounter could be fatigued or even drunk. You may also come into contact with late-night truck drivers, unfamiliar with the roads and tired after a long trip.

Any number of things can go wrong, even if no one else is involved in the accident, and it doesn't even need to take place at night. One young man in Kentucky learned this the worst way possible when he became involved in a fatal crash one Friday afternoon. The three-vehicle accident is believed to have occurred as the 22-year-old pulled out of a parking lot.

According to clerks working near the scene, a van crashed into the young man's vehicle as he exited the lot. The East Kentucky University student is believed to have died during the crash. One of the clerks commented on the excessive speeds used in the area, particularly as weather conditions worsen.

Sadly, this incident is far from isolated and countless families in Kentucky lose loved ones each year to the negligence of other drivers. If someone close to you has been killed in such an accident, an attorney may be able to offer you some guidance. He or she can help you understand the options available to you and may be able to assist you with making a claim against those responsible.
