Driver killed in Kentucky car crash

When a loved one is involved in an accident, it is a distressing experience. But what if they do not survive that accident? Sadly, this is a reality that people across the United States have to face every day. A moment's lapse of concentration, recklessness or negligence can cost lives. Meanwhile, those left behind have to live with their loss, while also dealing with funeral expenses, loss of income and any other costs incurred by the accident.

In Louisville, Kentucky, a 60-year-old woman was killed when two cars collided on the freeway. One driver attempted to cross two lanes of traffic. It appeared that she was heading for the emergency U-turn lane. Her car was struck by a second vehicle and she died at the scene. It is unknown why she was attempting the maneuver.

The SUV that ran into her contained a female passenger and a male driver. Both were taken to a hospital and were believed to have non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are investigating the incident to determine who was ultimately at fault.

It is always unfortunate when a life is needlessly lost. Too many accidents could be prevented if people were a little more diligent. If you have lost a loved one to someone else's negligence, you may want to consider seeking compensation. An attorney can help you decide whether this is the right choice for you. He or she may also be able to assist you in making a claim and seeking justice for your lost loved one.
